Spotlight Ball Guests Dance for a Cause

Over 600 corporate and civic leaders shared the spotlight with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at the company’s annual black-tie gala with proceeds from the evening supporting HSDC’s artistic programs, education and community outreach in Chicago and surrounding communities, and our comprehensive dancer health and wellness initiative.

The evening began with a special performance of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at the Harris Theater featuring Slipstream by Jim Vincent along with excerpts from several works produced under him during his tenure as artistic director of the company. Ron Magers, News Anchor & Reporter, ABC7 News served as Celebrity Emcee, and a special tribute was made to outgoing Artistic Director Jim Vincent. Then guests partied at The Fairmont Chicago and took to the ‘stage’ dancing alongside HSDC dancers to the sounds of Maggie Speaks.
